Photo 1
This photo was taken on the side of my stairs at my house. What makes this photo so interesting is the simple lines of the gate and how it separates the positive and negative spaces. My white balance for this photo would be sunny. This photo also had a shallow depth of field which gave you an easier look at the texture on the gate. This photo was simple yet interesting to look at to me because of the simple lines and how they form the simple shapes and as you can see they are diamonds. |

Faye as my model was able to capture the mood as hopeful with the slight smile that I was able to capture. In this photo the light was on the top right and was shining on her face. I used the rule of thirds and placed her on the left side. My point of view was on her right side and I focused onto her face. |

This photo was taken in the classroom with different light sources. With this photo someone used a normal, small light and just quickly moved it around. My ISO was set to 800 and my shutter speed was set to 1/60th of a second. The lines of the light fades into the back and gives it a smoky feel. I used the rule of thirds and place this photo all the way to the right. What I found interesting in this photo was the way the light was able to look like smoke. |
Photo 4
I took this photo at my house and used it as my portrait. The lines of my hair lead you up and down the braid and with the texture of my hair you are able to see the different strands of hair.inused natural lighting that came from mostly the right side of the photo and with using a gray scale when I edited this photo my hair was able to show better with the white background rather than a gray or black. What interested me most is that this photo was different from other people's portraits. |
Photo 5
This is a picture of tomatoes that hang over my fence. The tomatoes were all circles but as you follow the tomatoes down they get smaller. I placed the tomatoes on the right side of the photo by applying the rules of thirds. The lighting was natural and I focused on the tomatoes which the background blur. This photo may be so simple, but I find that the simple water droplets and the way the tomatoes get smaller so cool about this photo. |
Photo 6
This was is a photo of flowers taken in the courtyard of the school. I stood far away and moved my camera so I was able to apply the rule of thirds and made the flowers be on the horizontal lines if you were to see the gridded lines. The lighting was natural and I focused more on the farthest left flower which made some parts of the picture a blur. I find that the color of the flowers really stand out with he dark green leaves in the background which interested me most about this photo. |
